About Eric Shamp

Eric lives in Chino and is a father of four children in CVUSD. He is keenly aware of the challenges facing our district and is ready to step in to provide student-focused, strategic leadership. Read more below about Eric, his background, and why you should elect him to School Board.

Eric is deeply rooted in the Chino Valley community and is a father of four children who attend CVUSD schools. Raising his family with his wife in Chino, Eric’s passion for public education is seen through his commitment to the success of ALL students.

As a non-profit director, Eric’s career is focused on responding to the educational and social inequities suffered by youth and young adults from the child welfare and juvenile justice systems. His work has taken him into the homes and institutions of system-involved youth giving him a unique perspective on how to bring out the best in students who often struggle in our public schools.

Always active, you can often catch Eric off-roading and camping in our local mountains, coaching flag football, or attending school events with his children.
